Got a Kukri yesterday. After much hemming and hawing about what to get and how much to spend, I decided to take a chance on EGKH's Military Service No. 1 Gurkha Khukuri. At $58 it wasn't a big risk. I opted for the non-full tang version. I'd handled a full-tang kukri previously and it was not comfortable in my hand. The grip on this one is. The blade seems really well formed, the sheath is nice, and fit and finish is generally good. I suspect the brass fittings are a little on the cheap side. I opted for KoA's sharpening service and it came quite sharp. Overall I'm pleased and my kukri itch is scratched (for the time being).

Thanks Dandelion! My first sword (RK Euro 7) was so very nice I thought this BA blade might be rare, but good to hear stories from the more experienced. My RK's were also pretty amazing for the price, but I have had Albions that had asymmetries. It's just who worked on it that day that it was polished. I second (third, fourth?) that it's probably just fine if it doesn't impact performance. better pics of my Petr Florianek & Owen Bush Beorning sword collab, I also got a albion thegn too That seax is so awesome. I'm waiting on a George Ezell seax currently. Unfortunately, he quoted me 6 months about 15 months ago.. :\
