Got a Kukri yesterday. After much hemming and hawing about what to get and how much to spend, I decided to take a chance on EGKH's Military Service No. 1 Gurkha Khukuri. At $58 it wasn't a big risk. I opted for the non-full tang version. I'd handled a full-tang kukri previously and it was not comfortable in my hand. The grip on this one is.

The blade seems really well formed, the sheath is nice, and fit and finish is generally good. I suspect the brass fittings are a little on the cheap side. I opted for KoA's sharpening service and it came quite sharp. Overall I'm pleased and my kukri itch is scratched (for the time being).

mrstabby: Been thinking the same - but the person that set up the page might not be there anymore and old code gets messy when not maintained. Might be a "repair subscriptions, destroy function X, repair X, destroy Y" situation by now - would mean a total overhaul. Nov 18, 2024 7:29:27 GMT
