how do you like the balance and handling? For what it is I like it a lot, it feels great in my hands. Might even be my new favorite sword. The weather sucked this weekend so I wasn't able to cut with it (too cold and windy for my liking), but I have lightly swung it around. It's quick, has a little meat on it for it's length, and handles great. |

Yea that's the exact one I wanted too haha. I had a DH lemon of a Cheness that turned me away from them tho
One little mod I love doing with katanas is mixing glue and water and painting it on the handle wrap, in thin layers, to stiffen up the Ito. This makes even cheap wraps feel a little less shoe lace like

I didn't have any lacquer on hand, but mixing glue and water does a pretty good job if you are on a budget. Gotta mix it to a skim milk consistency tho, as if it's too thick it clumps up and gets ugly

I was always off put by how narrow the blade is. Perhaps it's an illusion, from the black coating, but I don't care for it. I like the idea tho

I looked at it and I may still get it, but i'm not a fan of that blackened titanium coating on the blade. Yea I could understand that. Nothing a little time and polish couldn't cure. |

I'd have to measure it to confirm, but ryujin claims their shinobigatana's blade width is 1.23''. |
