My wife nabbed a baby scale for obsessing over our daughter's weight so I just inadvertently received a uber accurate scale for sword weighing! Highly recommend it to a collector.

That's an awesome sword Jack, congratulations on the new addition. Nice looking pattern to the blade, a high-quality piece.

That's an awesome sword Jack, congratulations on the new addition. Nice looking pattern to the blade, a high-quality piece. Thanks! It's an incredible piece, I'll enjoy writing about it. I've already read Rivkin, so I'm just up to taking pictures and typing it out.

Another quality piece Jack. I must say that you are a braver man than me dipping your toes in these waters. Too many swords of questionable heritage for me to risk my money on.

Well that's a freakin' amazing sword. I'm thoroughly jealous. Congrats! Looking forward to a write up... It weighs less than my Brit 1796LC officer yet is sturdier and larger. Information is quite scarce on these, working towards one more avenue before I present what I've found thus far. Another quality piece Jack. I must say that you are a braver man than me dipping your toes in these waters. Too many swords of questionable heritage for me to risk my money on. Thanks! Have to risk it sometimes, my biggest win (my Young Guard Saber) is from before I had a solid network of advisors to ask. This one came from a source if it wasn't legit they'd be embarrassed and refunding me. So it was worth the risk for this rare saber.

Look forward to seeing the write-up Jack. Definitely one of my favourite hilt types.

After many months of waiting, the new crown of my collection has arrived! A British 1822 Lancer's Mameluke with a 16-17 century classical Ottoman blade! Will be a lot more to come about this one, the blade is wootz under that mess! Cheers

My latest acquisition for awhile, I've started up grad school therefore funds are being funneled in a different direction now. Dutch no. 1 1813 made by Gill from the Rijksmuseum collection, this sword very likely saw action at Waterloo with the Dutch light cav due to the Rijksmuseum provenance
