It certainly could be the maker of Balaur Arms. Looks to me like the fit and finish might be little higher quality on this sword than BA in general, but at the same time, could also be that Reliks is showing the most flattering pictures only. It's an interesting sword, that's for sure.

Somebody from the FB group pointed out the fit and finish looks a lot like the old Signature line of VA swords.

Nice looking sword. I have no idea about the manufacturer. $350 is outside my budget unfortunately.

So, I decided to be the guinea pig and ordered it. There are no reviews on the internet yet... Everything about it seems really nice. Only piece of information that is missing is about distal taper, which is worrying me a little. Will see when it arrives …
If there is an interest, I will make a proper review.

I have been interested in an arming sword myself. I look forward to seeing a review. Edit: This sword looks a lot like the Albion Knight. Very much a Type XII sword. Wish we could see the distal taper. I am hopeful but wary that the photos hide flaws.

Like the others have said, I hope that you do a proper review. The cross, grip, and pommel in the photos looks better than those on the Hanwei/Tinker and Dynasty Forge arming swords I have been looking at. Based upon that I am hopeful. However it will be the blade geometry, tang, and fit of the handle components that will show if it is a truly functional sword. I think a number of people here, myself included, are waiting to place an order or look elsewhere pending your review.

Duly noted! First i need to receive the sword, though. Edit: Expected delivery note is false. It shows 2-3 days form the beginning… Like the others have said, I hope that you do a proper review. It's a nice looking sword. Clean lines. It does indeed look like an Albion Knight, as others have stated. I'd get it, but I'm just not sure. $250 (US) is where I normally cap out. Though I can make exceptions, as I did for K&A type XIV Angus Trim design.
If your review comes in "better than expected", then I might save up for this one. Or wait and try to get one used.
Appreciate that offer for a review.

If the review is positive I'll look close at purchasing one as well. Like you guys stated it looks really nice based on the photos, and $350 with a scabbard is a great value if the pictures are indeed representative.

A compromise of distal and overall thickness can make for a nice static feel to the reproductions. Some concentrate too much on that factor and a result can be a fairly whippy blade. With base thickness under 5mm (say 4mm), a distal of only a couple of mm by the foible (a convex distal), the weight is in a good ballpark and the cutting ability is still ok.
This looks like a nicely ground blade and it will be interesting to see in hand specifications. To add a thought, as it seems to be a blunt needing a sharpening service, I would expect the stock is probably under 5mm and the distal only 1.5 mm or so to maybe 2mm in the pointy ten inches in a convex distal. A secondary bevel depends on the service offered.
Del Tin has taken this distal formula for years with some swords handling very well, with others just chunky in static specs.
Cheers GC

Yeah one of my countries bigger issues is comically slow and overbloated bureaucracy. So, when I receive the bill containing VAT and other expenses the package containing the sword will be on my way. But alas, still I haven’t receive the aforementioned bill and won’t till Monday...

Haha, I got you. Sadly that characteristic also applies to perhaps 95% of the country on earth, anything crossing the border could potentially be a major pain in the rear.
