That's incredible, with the kind of work it seems he does, I would have expected him to have like a one year waiting list or something.

I think he's still relatively unknown. Also, while he knows khukuris and forging blades really well, he's unfamiliar with swords in general. He seems to be learning fast, but he'll tell you right off that he doesn't know much about historical examples. Requesting a sword from him definitely requires more knowledge than commissioning something from, say, Wes Beem.

I have seen a few pictures of historical single edged Viking swords that have a little bit of a recurve to the blade. I have seen some that are very short and some much longer and heavier. All in all this looks like a great piece. How is the handle?

All in all this looks like a great piece. How is the handle? This sword handles fantastic, one of the best I've handled, the grip is 3 3/4" length and fits my hand perfect. I have no complaints at all with this sword.
