Sorry if this is the wrong forum, wasn't sure where else to post. How often do they refresh their stock? It's been the same exact stuff since March, at least in the medieval section. Thanks.

Sellers are subject to the production and shipping of goods in a market suffering from poilitics and COVID-19. Windlass bought Marto up and is supplementing with stuff rather than concentrating on their own line. Hard times.

KoA is running on a skeleton crew with the COVID-19. Also the governor placed the state on lockdown I am not sure whether that has been lifted. It’s not so much their inventory but it appears their website is not being updated. I think they are now responding to the telephone, if not it’s the email. You should contact them in regards to your wants. As for the frequency of restocking, that depends on the supplier and their inventory. It is not a case simply sending in an order and to expect it to be filled immediately.

I don't understand how this whole business of selling swords stuff works.
I'm trying to learn about vendors vs distributors like KoA. For example, do vendors list their own stuff for 1 month? 2 months? Longer? Before giving some products to distributors like KoA?
Or is it different. Does KoA get same product at same price? Limited quantity? Discounted?

I guess what I was asking was - when a manufacturer (like CAS Iberia) has a sword back in stock on its website, how much longer does it take before KoA has it? Typically.

Basically when KOA orders it. As a vendor they order directly from the manufacturer whos rep in the US is CasIberia. So technically it just depends on if KOA actually orders that model. Basically CAS will be in stock because they're the direct vendor and or dealer for Hanwei.

So would it be fair to say "maybe tomorrow, maybe never".

So would it be fair to say "maybe tomorrow, maybe never". Probably. Especially now with everything going on. If you have a specific item in mind you might be best off emailing KoA and asking when they'll get it back in stock. There will probably be a delay before they have time to answer because I believe they're still trying to catch up from past orders.
Also, it's possible they already have some things back in stock but haven't had time to update the website. Again for the same reasons they're email responses may be delayed.
Good luck, Alex

Yeah, I tried that. They haven't responded back yet. Same thing with a couple of other sites.
I'm wondering if I should just bite the bullet and get it MSRP at Cas Iberia. But I would hate to waste $150 if I don't have to. I'm on a budget. A pretty tight one.
--EDIT correction. Matt at KoA told me these would be available again in around two weeks (estimated). I mean the Kingston Arms XIV, that is.

My business just got some items from CAS just today, but others are still on backorder. LG

Thanks for that input. CAS has that type XIV at MSRP now. Others have it priced significantly lower, on back order. Will prices for those back-ordered items change significantly, when they finally arrive?
I'm a n00b. I own no swords. Patience and insight are appreciated. Trying to learn how this new world works.

I have some info from KoA.
1) KA type XIV is now available. So I just bought my first sword! 2) Balaur Arms restocks are coming, should be available sometime early next year.
I'm stoked.
