No, thanks to the democratic party/politicians. Put the blame at the feet of those responsible... Ronnie Raygun was a Democrat when he signed the Mulford act? Most Democrats don't want your guns; we have our own. Though true that some Dems are pro firearm, there is but one party that goes crazy with the control laws and it ain't the GOP.

You guys are both correct on the issue. To hell with Dems that have ruined my beautiful land over the last 20 years and to hell with the Repubs who allowed it to start almost 80 years ago with the rise of Upton Sinclair!!!
I am an 8th generation Californio and I am looking to leave to friendlier places to work and live. Such a shame.
Reagan had his good points, but his compromises when he was governor here sowed a terrible crop that is now bearing its rotten fruit.

People, we still have that rule against discussing politics. Cut it out.

People, we still have that rule against discussing politics. Cut it out. Fair enough, but FWIW, I doubt you will have very many Americans who are offended and whining/complaining to you about it, except maybe those members who have their "Zen" on... One should not forget that those who want to restrict legal ownership of firearms, once they achieve their goal , usually turn their attention to swords.

I looked at a Coonan.357 about thirty some years ago. Iirc it was about $575. Would have been my first handgun and I passed. Kind of always regretted it. I have long hands/fingers so it was comfortable to me but thought people with shorter hands might have some trouble with it

I actually handled one at Bud's Gun Shop in Tennessee but didn't have the money at the time. Still don't, lol.

Lockdown may be over but the whole family is buying now for obvious reasons. I'm looking into getting a no nonsense AR-15. No frills or bells or whistles, just a solid and dependable rifle.

No lockdown right now, but I did get a Diamondback M Lok AR-15 and Sig red dot sight. Just gotta get a 45 degree angled grip and it’s good to go.

Huh.
I went the other way with it, and sold my only AR, a Ruger 556 to my buddy who is ex Army and was feeling anxious about everything.
I'm not really very shaken for some reason.
I did use the money to buy a no dash Smith model 63 (a 4 inch six shot 22lr revolver). Possibly the opposite of tacticool.
I also grabbed a hellcat that came up cheap locally.
And a Springfield defender 1911 (also because it's cheap).
I think that is all of them during the ol WuTang flu.
Learned I don't care much for aks/ars. Not my thing.
If I felt I actually may NEED a MBR I'd probably opt for an m1a. There's a real rifle!
Panic buying stems from fear obviously, and if people are scared they no longer think logically.
I say, learn skills, be kind to everyone you meet, seek common ground to try to understand.
It is wise to store food or medicines etc for lean times, but also so you can help out others.
Truly, in very turbulent times only strong communities will survive. Lone wolves will fall to the first injury or illness.
So yeah, I just buy guns ive had an eye out for, and only good deals. Nothing happening has changed my mind.
Ammo shortage is annoying, but I buy more than I shoot and have done so since 2004 so I'm unaffected.
So sick of the doom and gloom on both "sides" here in the US . Truth is local politics will affect your daily life a lot more. And the world goes on no matter what stuffed suit gets to sit in the big chair.

I had plenty before so didn't feel compelled to be driven by the pandemic.
Now... I DID acquire a couple new toys but that was unrelated to pandemic and more due to the fact the prices from a close friend who was freeing up funds were TOO good to pass on.
I didn't even acquire more ammo from any of this (plenty stockpiled of that too).
What I DID do is bolster some of the emergency food supply from MyPatriotSupply.

Does an antique Vetterli Carcano rifle count? The things are completely non functional and will explode if you shoot them, but they are cool to have anyway and cheap.

Not to veer too far afield but I did an order from my patriot supply as well back in April or may!
Supply chain is fragile, that is no secret.
