OK, Ok... a few of my collection. I live in So California and rent them out for films/special events. I either own them outright or am a partner in their ownership. German Sd.Kfz.251/17 ausf. D German Sd.Kfz. 251/1 ausf. D Russian (czech made) T54MBT at Levi stadium for WWF Wrestlemania XXXI M75 APC Sd.Kdz.215/17 Ausf D with R.Lee Ermey production of Locked and Loaded Sd.Kfz. 251/1 quad D on set of "Fury" M4 Sherman at sound stage 3 DisneyStudios Burbank for Rap Video M4 Sherman at E3 Expo The irony of a Californian owning all these awesome vehicles has me intrigued. How much do you charge for a ride across the desert on that Sherman? I've been meaning to venture forth on an adventure to the US this year and whenever people ask me what I wanna do over there my initial answer was always "drive a tank through the desert".

No freaking way... do you have any idea how much these 75 yo vehicles break down? Spare parts are a nightmare to find if you don have to custom reverse engineer them because the part cant be had, and THEN find someone who can actually do the repair? Nope..the most we have ever done with them is a few fun private reenactments.

I did have this image in my mind of tanks being rather robust, but admittedly it was more so of American made tanks that stayed on American soil and later fell into the hands of rednecks (southern freedom-loving alphas). Alas, my search continues.

I am going crazy with my self imposed covid lockdown and stress with the upcoming election, however my equity trading has been very successful as of late so I am going to maybe indulge in some "retail therapy"; West German Leopard 1A5, formerly of the Belgian Army and in a private collection in Europe... We will see if they accept my offer... as always, part of me hopes they do and part of me hopes they don't …lol Initial photos: Video of the exact vehicle in operation at "Tanks in Mons 2019" at 4:13 to 4:57 in the video.

That video is awesome!
Just curious, if you pull the trigger, how do they transport from Europe?

That video is awesome! Just curious, if you pull the trigger, how do they transport from Europe? By heavy truck (42 tons) to ship probably out of Antwerp to Los Angeles and then heavy truck to South Corona where I keep my AFV's. It will most likely be driven onto a car carrier but I use shipping brokers who specialize in this sort of thing. Transport will probably be an additional $20k.

I used to have a privately owned fish tank, glorious 60 incher I had one of those! In addition a 90 gallon. Plus a 30 gallon (quarantine tank). Sadly Hurricane Katrina took them away when I lived in New Orleans. I lost my house and all of my possessions in that storm. But so what. Stuff is replaceable. Losing my "kids" in those tanks was what got to me. Haven't had a tank since.

Well they turned down my offer for now... For now? Are you expecting a counter-offer? Maybe. Since I can not travel to check it out before buying I need to get it at a price that discounts the risk that things may not be as represented. I indicated the willingness to go up a little but need more hard info on the vehicle...remaining technology in it, engine hours, spares etc... I generally consider the decline of offer to be fate telling me no... but we will see. I suspect that Europe will be more economically pressed than the US with the covid situation, in fact they already are... So we will see what other opportunities present themselves too. As always...CASH IS KING!
