I'd still love to see some maker do versions of these two swords from Frazetta's Ace Books covers for Conan.

Are we sticking to print here, or are movies and tv cool too?

Are we sticking to print here, or are movies and tv cool too? I'd say anything. Especially if there's a visual you can share and it's been around a while but somehow it or nothing close is on the market. (Note anything that is on the market that has similarities too. For example, I now look at the Windlass Raptor and have to wonder if it might even be rehilted to give a version of the second Frazetta pic's sword.)

I pretty much want one of everything on Neil Burridge's webpage ( link), except made out of modern steel instead of bronze (and with exotic/fancy hilt materials and elaborate decoration). I love those Bronze Age sword designs, and would love to see them made in a material capable of holding a much harder edge. I also think that a differentially-hardened Ewart Park, with a frosty hamon, would look amazing. If I'm ever am in a position to commission something from Brenno, that might be what I'd have him make for me. That said, I also really love the blade shape of the no-longer-available Zorro colichemarde Albion used to make. With a certainty, I will be commissioning someone to make me a version of that blade, but with a sleeker smallsword style hilt.

Is this the John Logan you are referring to www.irontreeforge.com/? I'm not familiar with him. Do you have any firsthand experience with his work?

There are several models of production sword that are no longer available that I wish would be made again. I've mentioned them before in other threads. One sword I've never seen produced before that I'd love to have available is one that belonged to Archduke Philip the Handsome. A picture of it can be found here: www.khm.at/en/objectdb/detail/372852/That two colored/material pommel is just exquisite! If I ever had a custom made, I think I might straighten out the guard. Otherwise, that would be a wonderful sword to have a copy of.

Watched "Gladiator" last night... I'd have to throw my vote for the Sword of Commodus But for non-sword items... I've ALWAYS wanted a metal replica of Shredder's Helmet from the original TMNT movie (my profile pic) lol
