Right now I want a straight, double edged katana blade (maybe kogarasu style) to place on my new tsuba. I wanna go for a style of katana that is really out there, yet also, very beautiful. I like having odd looking swords

I like having odd looking swords The last katana I purchased from JKOO/Sinosword was a kissaki moroha zukuri. It's not straight, but the sori is slight. It's pretty cool. I primarily wanted to try that blade form as I assumed (correctly) that it would be less massive than most other katana styles, and wanted a 30 inch nagasa sword I could agilely wield single-handed. I haven't tried any false edge cuts yet. I'm curious about whether there are any surviving records of false edge cuts or techniques utilizing this style of blade.

My next project (once I finish ALL MY OTHER PROJECTS) is going to be to build a throne. I have all the tools and material at my job, and my boss would let me do it after-hours and at the cost of material. I'm thinking of using 4x4 posts as the legs, with the rest being made from 2x4 and 1x4 Cedar wood. The back of the throne will be shaped like a church window...high and domed on top. The center of the back boards will have a cut-out of a Fleur-de-Lis in it. No upholstery on the seat...just a big, fancy pillow. I'm estimating a total cost of about $150. My wife is the Queen B of all the B's that have ever even tried to be Queen B's------so she needs a throne. --- --- christain do you mean something like this ? Only for a Queen probably a lower back.

That sounds pretty dang good, even if there is a slight curve I am also considering a plain chokuto. Something designed with thrusting in mind. If not that, then maybe I'll try go as traditional on the sword as I can

I was working on taking a 1985 DeLorean and a plutonium generator up to 88 miles per hour and see what happens, but the Feds took my plutonium...

But shouldn't a proper throne be made out of the skulls of your defeated enemies? with torch sockets instead of cup holders?

Guess I could pick one that doesn't match, but that I could use on another project

Well like I said before I like everything about it. Beautiful sword. You can't tell from those photos, but it has a suguha hamon (which is my favorite style). It's well executed around the kissaki, and wraps around to the false edge.
