Some older Windlass swords and others archived. An old archive I had almost forgotten about www.nefulia.sitecity.ru/ltext_1511214200.phtmlFor the life of me (I'll have to dig through that folder) I can't remember the west coast site that was selling niche Windlass and Factory X stuff at markup prices but they had some rare birds. Anyway, that archive above has a bunch of old catalog images. Cheers GC

thanks for posting about this; i think one form of ephemeral media is product lines
companies will discontinue stuff and not really talk about it or make videos about it; only enthusiasts remember

They brought back the Arbedo and Towton so there's hope!

This is a link to the late Hank Reinhardt collection, it has a lot of old Windlass, Del Tin and a few other discontinued, modified and proto types. I think this is a good place to put it. www.hankreinhardt.com/Sale/index.htm

Yes, that list can't be re-posted enough. I don't know if anyone has bought from it lately.

Yes, that list can't be re-posted enough. I don't know if anyone has bought from it lately. Cheers GC I tried buying a sword from this site probably about seven years or so ago. Some one who runs the site replied to my email with a "sorry, but that sword sold a while ago, and we just failed to mark it as "sold" on the site." It was a major bummer for me, as I'd been wanting that particular sword for a long time. That was almost seven years ago, and they still haven't updated the site to reflect that that same exact sword is no longer available. So...enjoy that site for the wonderful pictures of some awesome swords. But also be wary that they just don't update the site, and many of the swords that seem to be for sale might actually be long gone.

Another great source was Bruce Brookhart's site, he used to sell off much of his collection. If anyone copied that before it was dismantled it would be appreciated if you could posted it here also. Bruce had a good many older pieces, some modified or one of a kind.

If someone has the Bruce Brookhart bookmark, it can be run through archive.org and some pages may be readable.

Bruce had a good many older pieces, some modified or one of a kind. Yep, that was an awesome site, too. Lots of older Windlass models, some of which Brookhart said were the prototypes. I think I bought like six or seven from him. After a while, all the swords sold, so there was nothing available any more. I can't get the site to work, but here is the bookmark: www.brookhartdesigns.com/

I've never seen it before. Thanks. The Ravenna sword is a beast! I compared it to the Arbedo and black prince. It's a foot longer than the black prince.

WOW it looks like the gladii & spatha that windlass did back then appear to be 10x better then what they offer now, I wonder why the sudden change?

Seth, my Ravenna is maybe half a foot longer than my Hanwei Highland Claymore. Despite that, its much lighter, quicker, and better balanced. My MRL Zweihander is bigger than the Ravenna, as well as my biggest sword. Agreed, I really like this tool at My Armoury. Very interesting and clever.
