Ooh, it looks quite a bit like the fancy swords (Anduril etc.) from LEGO Lord of the Rings now! (Best incarnation of the films IMO.)

Completely forgot to ask.....Is the grip removable like a H/T grip? Or did you use epoxy?

Completely forgot to ask.....Is the grip removable like a H/T grip? Or did you use epoxy? It's removable. So it can be swapped out with the original grip if wanted.

That looks much better and no doubt feels better. Good job. I didn’t like the original. The guard does indeed look blocky. That can be corrected. You up to the job?

That's pretty damn good for a 'rush job'! I'd love to see what you could do with plenty of time, tools, and raw materials.

It would be interesting to know if there is any difference between the rubber and the wooden grip in cushioning vibrations etc. from the blade when hitting a target.

I have a few grips posted already, my personal favorites are my Hero's Warsword rewrap and Homildon Hill. I meant rushed as is I wrapped it between the time I posted the grip pics and when I posted the wrap pics.

Ehhh, it has the look of a Style 2 guard just a little thicker. It has its roots more in fantasy I think with its design though, kinda 90s Anime (sword reminds me of Trunk's Sword from Dragon Ball Z) or 80s B fantasy movies. Its actually not that bad in regards to feel and handling, proper length anyway for the grip length.

Because I'm never satisfied with my own work, lol here is the new and improved wood grip for the Honshu. I notice the gaps on the pommel where the new grip is decidedly narrower than the aperture. Do you plan on wrapping the wood core in leather, or something similar?
