That is an excellent deal! Aging mine on a faceted previously re-hafted with wheelbarrow has taken me back centuries I had traded into mine without the aging or color

It was just too shiny for words and what began as just letting it gray a little, the first spot of rust became a seasonal browning. Oil and scrubbies since then. The "monsta wah hamma" has been a New England faire favorite

Aaaannd...once again, we are offered a helmet with no measurements. None. Zip. Zero. Nada. Nice looking helm, but how do they expect to sell it with no sizes given? Would you buy an expensive pair of shoes without knowing they will fit? Jeez...........

I have one of those helmets. Purchased it off of Ebay. Seems like the description said it would fit most heads unless you have a unusually large or small head. Mine doesn’t have the antique look. Mine fit me ok and it did have a leather suspension with chin strap

Have you? No antique finish with a different type of suspension. Are you sure your helmet isn’t a copy of the same subject as MRL’s and by a different manufacturer. Possibly of a different size? And then still an unknown fit as we don’t know your size or what is worn under it, if any, is what you use? Don’t mean to give you a hard time, that was not my intent, had to make a point.

The eBay helmet is almost undoubtedly a Deepeeka, or a knock-off brand thereof. KoA sells the Deepeeka version, and it looks almost identical as the MRL version. Is MRL mooching off of Deepeeka now? Neither here nor there, but at least KoA gives decently accurate measurements, at least in my experiences of buying helmets and other armor pieces from them. I guess someone needs to send MRL a tailor's tape and instructions on how to use it.

I've only bought two helmets from MRL. One a Norman nasel helm (well over twenty years ago) and the other the Horseman's helm (knockoff of the rohirrem helm from LoTR). The Norman size was fine, the Lotr helm is way too small. I don't even have a large melon.
