Big time Gucci Glock. ;-) Haha, it's reached it's max limit of Gucciness. I don't plan on doing anything else with it... all those crazy tricked out slides, wild stippling jobs, vibrant cerakote... that's not for me. I do plan on adding a set of night sights though, that'll be it's last bell or whistle. And then it'll probably be thrown in the safe with the rest of the guns I don't have time to shoot.

I had a G2 19 once. It was ok (I disliked the stock trigger but a NY1 spring kit helped a lot) but I could never get over pulling the trigger to strip it and, as you said, in many ways it was boring. I had to sell it to cover a bill and never had any urge to replace it. The Taurus PT-92 I am currently carrying is a much better pistol - for MY tastes - than that 19 ever was.
I do hope you enjoy your G5.

I do hope you enjoy your G5. I've never had a Glock older than a Gen 3, but man, those Gen 2's sure are ugly lol. I like the look of the G5's (especially with a little tweaking). I like the somewhat minimalist, business look they have. Trigger is still "meh" on the Gen 5. Some people claim it's so much better VS older generation Glock's but I can't tell any difference really. Still a 4.5 lb trigger. Maybe a tiny bit of the "mushiness" has been taken out of it. I've never had a PT-92 but I've owned a M9A3 and a 92FS (the platform the Taurus is based on) and you're right, they're super fun to shoot. Some of the smoothest shooting pistols on the market. I also carried one in the Army (an M9A1) and I'd never choose one for a defensive/duty gun simply because I've seen how they react in dirty, adverse conditions (especially sand). Still, one of the best shooting guns ever in normal conditions. Thanks for the comment!
