Yup :)
There's also this one:
They mixed two stories, but anyway - I still feel shivers down my spine... I remember reading the first witcher story published in "Fantastyka" monthly magazine as a contest entry by an unknown author. This was something else back then. And I still have this very magazine. And the others :).

I still like the old Witcher medallion better than the new one. The new one looks like something you find at a cheap jewelry store. Some of the old one even have eyes that light up red.

I should have made a BET on that - i KNEW you would like that spiky geometry abomination from the games more! Well, probably most people would; but honestly, i like the new one a lot and i find it perfect! We both got ours already... Attachments:

Out of all the medieval stories they choose the witcher? Booooo. All the games sucked.

If I were to wear that all my life, sleep with that on my neck, train with that on my neck, fight with that on my neck, get sweaty and tired with that on my neck, I sure as hell would prefer it flat, light and not spiky. Even if I were a superman.
Actually flashy red eyes do look like something you find at a cheap plastic jewelry store...

I've seen that same Wolf head on the new one used on other jewelry.

And it looks good mounted on a back mount scabbard strap.

Don't get me wrong, it definitely had its moments, but it's just so boring. In the games it was literally like 70+% of the time copy and paste missions with different names, and maybe a custom cut scene and that was it. It was like the developers were trying to cheese the length of the game, by just copying and pasting, which in all honesty is probably what they were doing.

Really? I didn't find too much of that in the meat of the story. There is definitely some in gear quests but for as massive as the game is I thought it moved really well. Incorporating the DLCs really improved it too. Oh well, sorry you didn't enjoy it as much as I did. *edit* Talking specifically about the 3rd game.

You definitely have played other Witcher games and especially another Witcher 3 game than me and millions of other gamers and fans. Please name ONE other open world RPG with such a variety on quest types, such a rich story, such a nice floating combat system and overall quality! Go ahead, i am curious? That has nothing to do with opinions. It is no opinion when you, to stay in our examples, say that Albion swords are bad. Thats ignoring facts. Your description of the Witcher 3 game is so completely off and wrong that one might sniff a cave troll around... Your English grammar has improved vastly over the last few months. Anyway,I thought this thread was about the series, not video games. I am in no way a gamer and have been following this thread because of the forthcoming series, yet there seems to be a bit of gamer talk coming in now. How boring.

Well, to me what user1576 wrote is absolutely an opinion. You may agree or not, but no need to get heated. I like and appreciate Witcher games, but I can understand someone that does not. That's all to it, really. And yeah, pvsampson is right, it's Netflix Witcher thread gals/guys.

I have no idea who’s he is quoting, I’m the top quote but I didn’t see anybody respond with that message. Anyway it’s a video game you know a gamer thing being turned into a series I think. And of course it is an opinion, it’s just what I think about it. The games always had a unique flare to them and the setting was always extremely good, but I just thought they were boring. But I do think with Henry cavil as the lead that it would be interesting.

The show will have nothing to do with the games after all. The games do tell a story not written by the original author, Mr. Andrzej Sapkowski from Poland; the games story takes place some time after ending of the books and is totally a invention of CD Project Red, the game maker studio.

Same world. I have read the books and am a fan of the games. I thought the games were better to be honest, not to say the books were bad.

I was just saying I didn't like the games... Were the books similar to the games? Or completely different?
