For a sword review with a lot of pics, use IMGR? Or something else?
Thanks, RinC

I've not had problems with IMGUR - though I know some people are unhappy with them. Everyone has their own favorite hosting site.

So we've been having a lot of issues with attachment space, so until recently(like, yesterday recently)it would have been more of an imperative to save space by utilizing a 3rd party host. I use Imgur, as it's really simple and free(so far). Using attachments is relatively okay now, but bear in mind that you will need to reduce each image size to 1mb or under, as the new max upload attachment size is 1mb.
There are some more suggestions on how to post images sprinkled in Paul's recent thread that you can consider as well.

My camera's pics are about 9 megs a pic. I'm trying to move them to IMGAR now...(slow process) You saying I need to reduce them to 1 meg or less per pic to use in a SBG sword review? Or you saying IMGAR limits my pics to 1 meg or less per pic? Sorry...confused. Am doing a JKO/Sinosword wakizashi review...text done...bunch of pics working on now. Thanks, RinC

Thanks, RinC The 1MB limit is just for files uploaded directly to the SBG servers as attachments on forum posts. I'm not sure what Imgur's limit is, I've never actually encountered it. That said, 9MB is WAAAYYY more bytes than you need for almost anything online; most cameras output minimally or not at all compressed pictures in resolutions suitable for printing but entirely excessive for display on a screen.

If it helps, the free image viewer XNViewMP has a batch image conversion with a resizer. Not that I use it, simply because I have other ways.

Thanks, RinC your camera is probably saving files in RAW format, which at times can make your files very large. Here's a couple of links to help you reduce the size of your pics productforums.google.com/forum/#!msg/chromebook-central/iMRX1yocnlM/-1ncXYkSv-wJ smallbusiness.chron.com/reduce-photo-file-size-using-windows-72550.html (don't click on any links - they're essentially "clickbait")
