Since my hunt for used Albions turns out to be rather sluggish, I might just consider ordering a new one... So. Is there any reason I should order directly from Albion when KoA is less expensive, both the sword itself ($25) and shipping ($100)? The wait is like 50 weeks vs 51 weeks I guess, so nothing in it there. I mean... it's the same blade, right?

Which model in particular are you looking for? You might be better off searching the classified ads, either here on SBG, or over on myArmoury.com. Better yet, you might contact SBG-member 'christianshort' for an on-the-spot deal with little wait time. He seems to have almost every model available. Just a thought...

I second asking Christian if he has any he wants to sell, and as for KoA VS Albion, yes it's the same blade..KoA just does the work of putting in an order from Albion for you.
All my Albions were ordered through KoA, had no problems.

Been there, done that... but thanks ;) Top of my list are Steward, Munich and Crecy. Problem is I'm in Europe (and on a tight budget).

A 'want-to-buy' ad in some classifieds is probably your best bet.

So if you buy an Albion from KOA, does Albion still stand behind their product? I ordered a couple swords from Albion. A squire line Viking and the Ljubljana. The Ljubljana had a defect. I sent it back for a refund without replacement because it seemed they were having too much trouble making it. I ran into several conflicts with mike and would rather not deal with him anymore but still want the sword. I never thought to order from KOA.
