Man I wish I could get in on this. I would love to check out their Euro swords. I already got a dojo pro and an RK model

usually how badly dinged up are swords in this sale? are they just minor scratch and wear?

usually how badly dinged up are swords in this sale? are they just minor scratch and wear? I haven't done it myself - but from what I've heard, it's almost always just small cosmetic issues. The Euro swords are going for ridiculously low prices - and the #7 is probably the most 'durable' sword that I've personally handled.

If I had the money laying around I would've also picked up the two handed medieval saber and #9 arming sword. Seriously for $170 shipped this is a steal, even if it is cosmetic issues. Hopefully it's not something like a blade warp, but I doubt it will be.

i would get the euro model #10 but idk why out of all the scabbards this one has the floppy leather sheath, is it that hard to make scabbards for sabers, sigh

The only cosmetic issue I seen on my rk from the last sale was a slight slight ding in the kisake. Easy enough to polish out

Their wooden scabbards for the Euro #7 are some of the best I've seen on 'Production' swords. (Can't count VA on that, since Sonny's basically custom.)

Yeah, my okatana had very light scratches in small area on blade that I did not notice until later on. Love it.
The S&D euros at $150 is mega mega tempting.

The one Jian in the sale is already sold out. was pretty pricey for the way it looked too, looked like the 200 dollar one from sinosword, wish they had more affordable options

I have to say, hats off to Ronin. They got my order processed and shipped in less than 24 hours.

The #9 arming sword is on sale through the scratch and dent sale. At $150 it's pretty hard to pass up. Those who have handled this one, how is it? I imagine it's just slightly heavy and a little clunky in the hand, from looking at the stats on KOA.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's slightly heavy/clunky in the hand. The Euro #7 fits that profile as well... though it is probably the most durable long blade that I own, that is still VERY functional and decently maneuverable.

It was processed and shipped in about 12 hours I think, really fast! I had been eyeing that sword ever since it came out a year or so ago and since KoA finally had better pictures and stats on it, this sale was the last straw.

I would've been all over the new crusader longsword if it had been on sale. If the arming sword isn't that great I may pass it up for that two handed saber if there's any left in a week.

Incidentally, I just got my order yesterday evening. I will do a review shortly, but I am VERY pleased with the Euros I ordered. One of them, IMO, is worth more than a regular one, in spite of the scratch-and-dent. The other one was not functionally or aesthetically compromised at all - just kind of a funny story.
I was extremely disappointed with the Crusader that I ordered, recently, but couldn't resist the price on these new ones. Glad I pulled the trigger.

I received the two-handed saber from the S&D sale today and I'm very impressed as well. The only flaw a see is that the leather sheath has a scratch on the back of it that has been painted/inked over to cover it up. I was planning on saving for a real scabbard for it anyway, so it doesn't bother me one bit! The sword itself weighs in at 3 lbs 7 oz on the dot and like William Swiger mentioned, it's pretty well balanced and doesn't feel too heavy at all. The blade is spotless and really nice with crisp fullers that mirror each other perfectly on both sides. The handle is tight, comfortably thin and provides a nice length for leverage. All in all, I'm very pleased with both the sword and the deal!
