Sword related: Cutting with the Medieval Sword by Mike Edelson Bloodborne for the PS4 (sort of sword related) Couple of extra sword hangers for eventually replacing the guitar hanger part of my display cases)
Oh and a green light to start an ABSURD sword commission over 2018.

I unexpectedly got a Busse NMSFNO from an uncle. I'm not really sure where it came from, but it seems he's thinning his collection. It's cool, but not my usual by a long shot. I'll need to figure out how it fits into my collection. I guess my problems could be much worse.

I got Sword of the Stranger on DVD (which I was super freaking excited about), The Archaeology of Weapons book and The Book of Five Rings. Also a neat sword-related t-shirt, a gift card and various other little anime-related things (from my sister).

Already have The Book of Five Rings, but Sword of the Stranger is still on my Buy at All Costs list.
My brother got me a Schrade OTF Viper, which is an asissted opener rather than a true automatic, so it's legal in my state.

Oooh... that Marauder. Been meaning to get myself one of those for a while now; I don't normally like over-the-top crazy bowie type knives, but that one does it right!

Not a huge fan of most of CS's stuff, but this is a fast, fairly lightweight knife. Not crowbarish at all, the sheath retention is tight enough to not even really need the button clasp and the edge is nice and sharp. Love the sub-hilt design too. Not a bad knife at all, and it's not comically overpriced like some of their other stuff. Pretty jazzed with it.

Dang, now I really want one. I'm curious, can you see any distal taper with the blade? My brother has the CS Recon, which has zero distal taper - to me it makes the knife feel oddly balanced.

No, not a lot of taper except towards the tip, but it has a long false edge and it's hollow ground. It has blade presence, but is fairly light and lively. My brother has a TOPS knife that is slightly smaller, but just feels like what it looks to be: a sharpened piece of metal. Just dead weight. This one feels more like a proper knife to me.

Got a couple of knives, couple Rick and Morty shirts, socks, some slippers and a controller for my PS4. Not a bad haul. Knives are the Cold Steel Marauder and a Spyderco Dragonfly 2 with the Zome dyed handle. Both are awesome. I am jealous of your entire Xmas haul
