Totally blew me away when I took it out of the box. Was not expecting this nice a sword. Wait a minute, I just opened the black envelope in the box and it's a $25 off coupon on the next order of $250 or more. This deal just keeps getting better and better.

I just got this Darksword Hema Viking sword on sale for $150 plus $40 shipping and couldn't believe what I got. I wasn't expecting much for that price, what a surprise. Not only was the sword beautiful but it came with a tan grip instead of the standard black grip shown in the picture. For the diehard peen pommel guys I will warn you it is a recessed hex nut pommel. But then again that does make it easy to take apart for customizing. Not sure how long this sale is going to last. It took less then a week to get so they must be in stock ready to ship. I hate to ask but since it is a hex nut construction, would you mind taking it apart so we could see the tang? That does look very nice for $190!

The sword looks nice, but what I am really liking is that display wall you got going on there, very nice!

Hex nuts are historically accurate for Viking swords. Ikea has been around longer than you might think...

Wow, I just got a crazy idea pop into my head. If I could find a set of Suontaka guard and pommel at a reasonable price.

Yeah, they have the same fitting that Raymond's Quiet Press has and at $59 it's a steal but they're to small. If I was going to make a Suontaka dagger I would use them. Look at the pommel on the DSA Suontaka, just to small. A look at a DSA or Raymond's verses a normal sized one.

I think it looks small cause the dsa's grip is so damn fat, if u compare both to the respective blades they look to be about the same with the non dsa being slightly bigger

The pommel on the DSA/ Raymond's is only 2 1/8 inch wide by 1 5/8 inch top to bottom and 1 1/8 inch thick. That's small.

I have the rqp suontaka fittings , they're too small for the emsh blade they're mounted to. I couldn't believe how petite they are. I'm only keeping them around for a future dagger project,

Why do you have to taunt me with a reference pic of Sonny’s/Mike’s limited Sountaka?

Last time I talked to Sonny he said he has another run of Suontaka coming. They will probably have his new blades so they won't be that cheap.
