Thanks.
I was thinking of calling Mike and discussing the idea of adding wire wrap between the two upper risers, but as I was thinking FedEx went "bing" on my phone and that was that. In that sense I guess Albion was too quick! :)

Now that is beautiful i'm waiting on a half-wire Maxi myself and seeing yours just got me even more hyped! Been 8 months so far so any moment now >.>
Also having a scabbard made, without a suspension however as it's unrealistic to draw a sword like this
Who are making yours and how are you having it made?

I'm having Christian Fletcher make mine. He's the only one of the top scabbard makers who doesn't need the sword in hand to do it. DBK needed the sword and has around a 21 month wait, where as CF's is nine. I would have loved to use Leo Todeschini, aka Tod's Stuff, but no way was I shipping that big boy all the way to the UK. It will be a leather over wood core scabbard with a bronze chape, no suspension of any kind as that isn't historical for a sword like this.

Oh that's gonna be lovely, I used Christian for my Crecy scabbard and his work is amazing, Tod is doing my Maxi and Yeoman however (Only time I have felt lucky to live in europe) and I can't wait to see what he does with it, and I entirely agree with you on the suspension, at first I wanted one but I quickly came to terms with it just being unrealistic. And jesus a 21 month wait time that is unbearable, good thing Christian can do it without the sword then, he is a pleasure to work with and I can't wait to see you post pictures of it Ugh I can't stop staring at that wire grip, it's just the perfect thing a sword like this needs to really make it over the top amazing.

Not that it "makes" the sword since it's already one of their best looking models... But wow the wire sets that sword off and takes it the next level of awesome. It's at 11 now. Congrats.
