I think I will try and tell the vender no to take the handke off my custom sword and see if it goes thru Btw, as an martial art guy I secretly wish we have sword ban in nsw. The iaido sence is much bigger in VIC partly because they have to be paid member of AKR to keep the swords... its wrong I know, but there is a good side of it if you do iaido.

Please let me know re the nodachi. I have always wondered how far you can push before auspost actually bounce packages. I guess once it gets off the plane, it is more effort to return it to country of origin. One sword costed me $180 on dhl because i really wanted it. Will do. Nodachi No problem . Sent via EMS and tracked through Aus post the whole way, 1.4m length. I also received a Ranger sword from a member on this forum sent via USPS and the box length was 1.45m. I asked about the situation at the post office and was told a couple of things: Aus post will handle oversize items coming in from overseas. They will also handle virtually any size for businesses that have a contract with them. The lady actually complained and said, 'You should see the bloody size of some of the things that come through here!'. Hope that helps.

HAHA! Really? I had no idea. Well there you go, you learn something everyday . Welcome - Yes we have laws and regulations created in a bramble bush - In SA a plastic letter opener as made by thousands of school students in the not so distant past is prohibited and illegal to own in your home, as it is classed as an undetectable weapon. So too is that free knife you get with some hard skinned fruit! And woe betide those who have a plastic or ceramic lettuce slicer !
