Very cool budy. I like the top three especially. And the real deal is awesome! - though it's really a Falchion blade married to a cutlass base, wouldn't you say.? Though I can't speak putting a bird looking Scimitar blade on a cross bread basket / cutlass hilt. lol
I really like your ricasso concept on bastard 1. +1 for the work and the creativity. Now, for more....

Thanks guys. I've been doodling for years, might as well share my hairbrained ideas. though it's really a Falchion blade married to a cutlass base, wouldn't you say.? True. But I've noticed that sometimes, later Falchion and early Cutlass blades are nearly interchangeable. This one is certainly more stylized, though. The main idea behind it was to have a graspable ricasso to increase point control in close quarters, and an extremely thrust-oriented point. This leaves a sword as functional as any other historical cutlass, but with a slight added advantage of an extremely forceful thsut during in-fighting. Wish I got to handle it, but I think it fits the bill.

That cut and thrust is great, well done. The one underneath it, excuse my language, but what the hell is that thing?

That cut and thrust is great, well done. The one underneath it, excuse my language, but what the hell is that thing? I assume you mean the fourth one down? I don't remember too well. The idea was more for a survival machete. Something robust and with a long, slab-tang handle for light log-splitting, and a simple-toothed saw on the spine. Definately one of my crappier designs. Don't quite recall why I gave it a saber guard...

...this again?
Oh, HR, nice stuff. I quite like the cut an thrust saber, myself. The last two of the first group and the very last of the post are also very nice.
Oh hell, who am I kidding, they're all pretty damn nice.

This is the Great Sword of the Ass-Hat. It is bestowed as a trophy to the biggest ass-hat to show off their ass-hattery in a period of time, chosen by me. It is a great dishonor to be given the Sword of the Ass-Hat. Pray it's not presented to you. Eve better, don't be an ass-hat.

The Bastard Cutlass looks awesome in real steel. I also like the Cut & Thrust Saber.

Wow! These designs are gold! Would you be willing to sacrifice some of your designs to my slab of steel?

In fact, I may name it after you if I use one of your designs. Maybe I will call it "The Manly Eater of Steaks by Holy Roller And Seth". Awesomely awesome name... ;D

Sadly, I could obtain the Ass-Hat sword and say that the lettering stands for my initials.

That seems....a little cold, Itigar.
They might seem like cartoons because of the style in which they are drawn and portrayed. But I think that several of them could be quite promising, myself. And the Cutlass is proof of their ability to be made into a reality.

Tomato, tomawto. I just thought it was a little cold in presentation.
But psh, everyone here has tougher skin than that, so it's no big deal, right?
