Sunday We all meet at the movie site and we got to be extras that day. Monday Jason went up north to film his fight scene. When we had a little break we got to do some cutting with my VA long sword. We used my photo camera and screwed up a lot of the videos. Here is Trueswordsmen cutting Here is Cold Napalm cutting and here is me cutting Here is a blooper, this is the problem we was having with the camera, We would think that it wasn't on but it was and when we thought we turned it on we really turned it off. This was supposed to be the fight choreographer cutting.

It was like an SBG reunion. And really great to meet everyone in person. Aside from the movie making we had a chance to discuss sword fighting cutting etc. I wish it was not at an end.

Wish I could have. I took the red eye Thursday morning and got back to Florida at noon. I am running on pure adrenaline now and can't wait to at least show off some pictures from the filming.
The film will not be completed for 6 months or even longer though!
We are going to go ahead and sell the sword before the movie release though. We should be taking pre-orders soon. It performed very well during the fight scene.

In his defense we were resting the bottle on a steel bar sticking out of the ground and using Razor's new ATRIM Practical Sword, so I for one was being a bit cautious as any mistake would have not been too kind to the sword.
Of course better a bent sword than a decapitated body. ;D
Oh yeah, and the camera angle makes the blade appear closer to his neck than it actually was.

man look at that sword flexing as it hits the bottle. I guess that just demonstrates the opinion that has been expressed here before that water bottles reall aren't soft targets. I would love to examine all the cutting videos we have through a high speed camera. now if only I had a high speed camera and a time machine. . . (I think I could find better use for a time machine)

I was surprised at the flex too when I saw the picture. It went through like nothing was there, so it is surprising to see the resistance that must take place to cause the flex.
