So i just received the DSA 5 lobe viking ear sword. I think its awesome. I am interested in the Oslo and the 11th century swords, but the handle wraps I see at vendor sites are just not appealing. The thing that gets me though, is that they have videos that show a nice tight looking handle wrap. Very sharp look. I added pics. Whats up with that? Anybody own these swords with the these nice handles? Attachments:

This is what i see being sold. I would not buy these especially at the price they command, nor would I pay to get them rewrapped. I don't get it. These wraps do not look professional. They look like they slapped these on. Attachments:

Yea this is one of the major annoyances with DSA, Very big in promises and promotion. Horrible on finished product. DSA swords are just not worth their asking price with their inconsistent fit and finish as well as quality control.
You're better off taking your $400-$800 spent on their ridiculously clunky (but pretty in pics, not so much in hand or on paper) Viking Line and getting a Valiant, Del Tin or even a Albion if you're looking at that Sonutaka Viking type DSA sells for around $800.

It's not the handle wrap that ruins it for me. It's the length of the grip and the proportions of the fittings that just make them look...off.
