I'm curious what your thoughts are on this sword? It doesn't hit the market for another month or so, but I got to hold one briefly at the Atlanta Bladeshow this year, and it was balanced well and seemed to be structurally solid. The non-traditional design wont be for everyone, but I like it. The pricepoint is low so I'm thinking about ordering one to try out. Any reason why I shouldn't? I've heard good things about Condor's machete's and knives, maybe their swords would be good too for the price? www.condortk.com/productos-detalle.php?producto=15&cat=31#xTECH SPECS BLADE MATERIAL:5.0 MM -1075 HIGH CARBON STEEL BLADE FINISH: POLISHED HANDLE: WALNUT WITH TEXTURED GRIP SHEATH:SACABBARD: WALNUT WITH WRAPED PARACORD

If you've held it and liked it, why not? Though admittedly $330 turns me off a bit as there are several other katana available at that price range (some of them real beauties in the classifieds).

pretty expensive for a Condor, even though I love their stuff.
The name and handle are the highlight though, very fitting!

it looks like those early kris cutlery kats. 330 seems a bit steep for that package. I didn't look at the specs for the steel. if its good steel then that would explain that

I think $330 is just the suggested retail price. A couple of sites have a pre-order price of $200, which is pretty cheap in my opinion.
It looks great in person and it felt good in the hand. Don't know how it cuts or how durable it will end up being... I could wait for other people to buy one and write a review (that's my normal pattern), but I'll probably just end up pre-ordering one. I can't find any other katana in that price range that I'm crazy about, except for what I already have.

If those yokotes are geometric... Imma get one. The wood for the saya and tsuka looks sick.
