Never really posted a good picture of the Kanemasa nihonto hamon. As you all know, getting a good picture of a hamon can be.....challenging. I like this side shot, shows the nice suguha and the wide blade. Love this sword:

I still need to get a nice blade with a suguha... probably when I get around to a Kamakura Ko-Naminohira...

My pride an joy. Signed Suke Hiro II (yes I know most swords signed Suke Hiro were gemei but at least the guy got the toran hamon right). Gemei or not, I love it all the same. I struggled to capture the nie and more of the activities, and photo shopped ones look like it has been etched but it is not. It has old polish on, very hard to take pic.....

Hehehe this is a blessing and a curse! This was my first functional sword purchase, before I even got a Cheness kat 10 yr ago. The polisher told me "the sword is not great but very very fine, you have set the bar very high on the first purchase". Ever since then I got fussy with nihontos and seldom rasised an eyebrow. So I mostly play with modern stuff and mat cutters.
The polish has dulled a little over the past 10 years so hard to take pics. I don't like to powder my swords, IMHO it is better to have a light dull layer than very mild abrasive over and over through generations.
