I've done it: I've made the 3d models for my grips open source! :) For a while now I've been seriously annoyed at the tang variation in the hanwei tinker bare blades, and how it's meant that each grip needs to be custom made for a tight fit. Well now I've created a tutorial teaching you to create a custom grip using my pre-made models which you can then 3d print! Instructions for where to get your model 3d printed have also been included. I've done my best to make the tutorial as idiot-proof as possible but let me know in the comments if there's anything I wasn't clear on. printedarmoury.wordpress.com/2016/03/26/3d-grip-printing-tutorial/

Whoa, cool stuff! Gotta love 3D printing and at least to me the text is pretty fool-proof Im going to try It since i hate the grips on both H/T Longsword and single handed sword. Still wondering about the material tho

Can't tell you enough how much I appreciate you for this. Despite being capable of creating my own grip cores out of wood, it's always fantastic to have a new resource for the average wannabe DIYer, of which I am certainly one in a number of ways. Honestly, this could save HOURS of work and result in a better grip than a hand made wood core regardless. If karma were still a thing, you'd deserve a half dozen for this. Bravo! -Slayer

This is so wonderfully generous of you. You're one of the good guys.
