wow where did u manage to find this at such an immaculate condition? looks almost brand new, also is a mourning sword used at funerals or something because it does not look very practical.

It's from the Prestigious American Collection, The Kelly Collection Btw, very pretty sword, and even prettier collection. I still don't know how you get all your swords to look like they've just been issued. Look amazing.

I still don't know how you get all your swords to look like they've just been issued. Look amazing. Thought by now everybody was aware of the fact that that decaying mess of jowls and hair is actually a 17 yo elf, who spends 32 hrs a day in his loft, banging away with his lil elfie tools and sanpaper, turning reliquated pieces of edged weaponry poo, into godlike objects of war. You can't do what he does, because if you tried, they'd find you desicated remains lying over a crappy relic. kissy, kissy Paul...

I have one of these (also in immaculate condition). :P just have to be long in the tooth. I bought mine (and a couple other discontinued Windlass and Del Tin pieces) from MRL back in the day (early 90s)

Not to damn anything else with faint praise, but your renovated Bastard Sword is exquisite.
The blade still isn't as nice as the original Wallace, but A+ for effort there.

Wow. I didn't look at this thread before, because I am not into sabres all that much... but the Schleswig-Holstein mounted artillery sabre is marvelous. The rest of the collection is stunning as well - amazing restoration work! (Definitely going to dig into the thread on that particular sabre though.)
