Now, those are the words of a true collector.
Reminds me of what happened to a collector friend of mine.
He got hold of a bronze plaquette from the Roman 9th (?) Legion from when they were stationed in Britania. Absolutely unique. He send some pictures to the museum in Nymegen in a ,, see what I have and you aint got, yadda yadda yadda'' kind of way. Nymegen being being founded by the 9th. Before he knew it, some conservation type from the museum was standing in the front garden, hollering to get access, in the middle of the night. He told me: There was some bearded garden gnome with glasses on jumping up and down shouting he wanted the plaquette at all cost at 4 in the morning, silly bugg&r. I think the museum has it on loan now.
