Some of you may have seen the Angus trim leaf blade i posted for sale a while back, i had two of them and kept one for myself...here is the final results of my customization/build. This sword has a pattern weld guard and pommel, keyed guard and pommel, with hex nut hilt construction, poplar grip core wrapped in cord and black leather. I removed years worth of rust from the blade and sharpened it to a hair shaving edge with nikku. Etched Runes read "Watch for Dusk" and "Bring the Dawn" Specs are as follows Blade Length: 30" Blade Width: 2.25" at shoulder, 2" at leaf swell Grip Length: 7" Overall: 39.25" Weight: 2lb 8oz POB: 3.5 - 4" from guard

That turned out really great man. How did you make the fittings? Is that all grinding, shaping and cutting with your angle grinder or what??
Looks awesome!

You do so nice cutlery work. The sword turned out really great. I love the shape and pattern of the furniture and how it flows in to the blade. That symmetry, where all the components mesh together and flow, is a very high priority for me when I look for swords.

Looks amazing! From afar the hilt looks blued but when you get close you see all that's going on in the pattern, I bet it creates a real awesome effect with lighting.
