BROOKSVILLE, Fla. — Authorities have arrested a Florida woman who they say tried to stab a deputy with a large sword or machete inside a mobile home filled with thousands of knives, swords and bladed instruments.
The Hernando County Sheriff's Office said in a news release that deputies went to her home Tuesday night to assist probation and parole officers who were trying to issue felony arrest warrants. Authorities say they fired several bean bag rounds at her after she tried to stab the deputy and refused to surrender.
Authorities said she later armed herself with several weapons and advanced toward deputies. She was arrested nearly five hours later after authorities struck her with a stun gun.
She faces multiple charges. Deputies said they had removed more than 3,500 "bladed instruments" from the home.

Only 3,500 blades... ha, lightweight
But seriously, the issue is the woman is insane and not that she owned 3500 bladed instruments. The news reporters seem to highlight the knife collection and not her mental state.

No, you've got it all wrong, the knives were ballast to keep the trailer from floating away...

Voltan, word is, he's got this nuke hardened bunker somewhere in the Rockies too you know..... Don't be ridiculous. Why would I store my swords 1600 miles away? Ever since the cover got blown on the national bunker under Greenbrier they've been lookin for someone to rent it out to. Got a great deal on the whole package ( seein as I don't think I'll be needin to stock it up to feed and maintain 1500 people for two years and all. :)

I blame the humidity. Lived in the panhandle for two years, and did two semesters in Daytona. Firmly reminded of why I didn't miss the place from the first go-round...

The humidity is what I hate most about Georgia also... although I've spent a few months in Pensacola... and while it is humid the presence of the ocean and the many rainstorms they have make up for it, I kinda like it there.
