I have a KMG 120V belt drive. It's the best low cost 2x72 grinder that I would recommend. But if I had to do it all over again I'd get the TW-90 with 220V with variable speed and tilt. The TW-90 might cost $1000 more but I find it tedious to change the drive belt position from mid speed to fast speed to slow speed. Also tedious is changing over the arms (from flat platen to wheel to small wheel). I heard 220V motors are more efficient than 120v (what I heard but I don't know for sure). Lastly, I think tilting the machine 90° is very useful.

When I get a new one I will go with a Tag 101 since the tool arms I have how will fit it. The TW 90 uses smaller tool arms. Also the Tag 101 is a little Cheaper. The VFD drive it great have one on the PH 427 I have. With it you can run a 3 phase 2hp motor on 220 volt 1 phase.

The Tag 101 is also a very good grinder, even better that KMG. Changing over the arm attachments is easier on the TAG or TW. I would recommend swapping out whatever sized large wheel for the largest wheel that would fit the grinder. Go 12" or larger. I don't think the TAG tilts. Tilting is not necessary but does come in handy. Without tilt you just need to learn to tilt your body and your steel piece.

The Tag tilts and you can set it up to use 3 wheels in the tilted position. The Tag 101 can use 3 tool arms the TW 90 only 2.
