Has anyone heard anything about this? I came across it while browsing swords of might. I've been looking at the New Coustille forever, and when I finally decided to purchase it, it sold out. This is a similar size and weight to the New Coustille, but looks nicer. I like the leaf shape of the blade. Downside is that it's twice the price of the Coustille. Also, since it's in the same price range, how's the Legacy Arms Knight's Riding Sword? My only concern with these swords is the tempering, which I've heard can be very hit or miss. I've also looked at the Hanwei EMSHS, but I'd prefer a short sword. All of these can be purchased for $200 shipped at SOM

Hello there... Sean (Shadowhowler) has one of the Hafling swords I believe... maybe he can chime in on it's characteristics. Another "Hafling" sword you may be interested in is the DSA Sting sword. If you're looking to buy any of the models you listed, PM me and we can work out a deal through my retail business. LG

Thanks for the suggestion. The DSA sting doesn't appeal as much to me as the Legacy Arms one does though. There's something about a subtle leaf shape blade that appeals to me more than the more pronounced leaf. The one sword I've really been wanting has been the New Coustille, but I can't find it anywhere. Do you happen to know where I can get one?

The Legacy Arms Halfling sword is a great little Hobbit sword. ;-) Its scaled right as to be a large dagger to an elf/human but a sword to a Hobbit. Its very cool looking. However... if you are just looking for a cool short sword... the Legacy Arms Knights Ridding sword you mentioned is a better weapon. I've owned one and I really miss it... I would not mind having another. Its a VERY good, solid and quick little shortsword. The only reason to get the Halfling sword over the Knights Ridding sword would be if you really liked the styling of it and wanted a Hobbit sword. The Knights Ridding sword is the better weapon.

The New Coustille are sold out at MRL and don't know when they'll be back in stock... you could always create an ISO (In Search Of) post here on SBG ,or you could join a FB page I started devoted to selling/buying/trading/ISO's www.facebook.com/groups/100597153625236/

Thanks for your responses. I probably will end up getting both the halfling and the Riding Sword at some point. I'll continue looking for the Coustille since it was more in my price range. I'll probably post an ISO at a later point. Thanks
