Not the new one, the old one with the longer barrel and wood grips, what's the verdict on this piece? I found somebody selling it used for just over 3 bills and I wanna know if I should drop money on this revolver.

Not a good gun, like we've told you in the past get a Ruger, Smith and Wesson, or Colt.

Made in America, well made from high grade parts, I have no idea of the American values, scratchy, creepy trigger, (circa 1990's) spent much time stoning the trigger to make it live up to the "target" name, sights shot a foot low with maximum elevation on the rear, took 3/8th off the front to bring it close to centre. LOUD on the firing line, everyone thought it was a 44.

I've had 3 Charter Arms none of them worked well, miss fires and other issues. Had a brand new bulldog had two undersize and one over size chamders.

Yeh, when it comes to revolvers, I'm with Driggers on this one... I stick to Ruger and Smith myself. Never had a Colt revolver, but I'm sure they are solid for the most part.

I'll "third" Driggers and you on this one. Except for Brits or fellow residents of Commonwealth countries, I'm prepared to add Webley to the list of good double-action revolvers. For that matter, Ruger and Colt pretty much covers my list of good makers of single-action revolvers too. (There is one other name on that list -- Uberti.) And those three names (Ruger, Colt, and Uberti) ALSO constitutes my list of safe blackpowder cap-and-ball revolver makers. I've owned a lot of modern and older 20th century revolvers over the years. (I've been a gun collector and shooter for 30+ years and was a partner in a gunshop for a decade.). Never had a bad one with those five names on them; handled lots of crap -- some of it downright dangerous -- made by other companies. Enough so that if the nameplate doesn't read S&W, Colt, Ruger, Webley or Uberti on a revolver, I just can't be bothered even looking at it. Period.

Had a S&W MODEL 57 with the 8" barrel in 41 Mag. for metallic silhouette, always did it's bit if I did mine, also had an early Ruger GP100 in 357 with the 4" barrel, great gun too
