Here's a bunch of pictures of the new kickass axe from Fallen I received recently. It's the axe from this thread: sbg-sword-forum.forums.net/thread/44512/ball-peen-hammer-tomahawkOriginal stats: Cutting edge 2 1/2in, hammer back poll, 19in hickory handle, weights in at 1lb 4 1/2oz What I did: -sanded off the forge scale on the head and polished it up some - left the deeper hammer marks and scratches as I didn't want to take too much steel off it -rounded the pinch on the hammer end and the corners of the hammer face -touch up sharpening on the edge as the sanding dulled it slightly -stained and waxed the haft -grip wrapped the haft with suede cord then stained/lacquered, same wrap for the neck -leather sheath and frog She is friggin' awesome! sweet cutter and strong. Chopped up some 3" thick tree yesterday then proceeded to slice water bottles in two after.

Good job see you even up the bevel on the top of the bridge near the poll eye. Need to start using my stamp on the axes I forge. Still love the wrap you did on the handle. Bet you won't be throwing this one, don't want to mess up that wrap.
You must have real good edge alinement to cut a water bottle with a 2 1/2in cutting edge.

This one actually had your makers mark on one side and half a mark on the other but the sanding took them off.
Was regular 500ml bottles. Not every cut went all the way through. Some just nick the bottle. Bug still fun. 8 think the shape of the haft makes it easier.

What I was talking about is my hot stamp it will put a deep mark into that would be very hard to sand out. I'm just not very good using it. The mark that was on this one was electro chemical.
Good to know it will still cut water bottles after it being used to chop wood. Since I'm a american I have no idea what a 50th bottle is.
Now get busy frinishing the leaf shape blade pole arm. Really look forward to see what you do with it. Your mounting skills are processing faster than my metal working skills.
We did just get a Ridgid 3 blade wood planer to help with our wood working. Got it instead of a band saw. Next up is a Jet 10in wood cutting band saw.

I sometimes manage to get complete silent cuts on 2 litre pepsi bottles with a couple of my Fallen axes, but mostly they just cut most of the way and leave the rest hanging :)
