What a lucky guy i am... kinda. Well, my lady has her walls decorated with swords HERSELF, hehehehe... and building cool Witcher action puppets from blank highend bodies from China, sewing the clothes also herself! She sits in her room now for about two hours, playing Gwent - and she is gooood! Also playing Skyrim and Witcher III, watching Forged In Fire and Game Of Thrones with me... xD

You know when you watched Willy Wonka when you were a kid and you wished so hard that you could live in the candy room? This is like the grown up version of that.

I wish all the collection threads contained a continually updated and organized list, by brand and or type, on the first page, like this collection thread has. Very Nice.

Wife thinks my collection is overrated.....lol Constantly reminds me that I am like those people on the TV show hoarders but with swords.......Don't argue about them but get the icy stare of death often. Hmm, you could be the subject on the pilot episode of a new show..."Swoarders!" I'm here all week, try the veal.

Wow what an awesome collection man, It may be wrong but I'm so envious. Just curious and I don't mean to be nosy, but did you ever move back to the states and are you still buying or did you keep to your word and stop for the most part?

Sorry, didn't see that you already posted you were back from Germany. I bet readjusting to the US after 10 years is a little jarring. Something tells me I'd like Germany better.
I imagine transporting or shipping all those swords back to the US wasn't very fun.

I declared them as a collection in value of excess 70k.
Moving company sent an inspector and each had to be photographed. Inspector thought I was a weird and strange for having a sword collection. Most Germans are severely anti-weapons of any type.
Ended up being over 12 really big and special made boxes........
Miss Germany as I hate being in the Wash DC area. Too many people and no sense of community here. Prices are outrageous as well.

Being a German sword collector I nevertheless think you're a weird and strange for having your sword collection!

Well I can't speak on Germany personally. My dad was stationed in Germany and he loved it, but I just got back from DC and absolutely HATED driving there. I was in New York City before that and driving wasn't even as bad there.

Have been keeping my sword collection updated. Have some new but sold off some stuff to fund my firearms collection. Finally finished my firearms collection after being in locations I could not have them. Living overseas most of the time for 30-years prevented me from getting what I wanted. Most firearms are way cheaper than the upper tier of production swords with many being in the Windlass up to Del Tin range. Here is my final firearms collection sbg-sword-forum.forums.net/thread/54249/swiger-collectionOnly have a couple Albion (replacements) and a Lundemo on order. Collections are pretty much finished and will focus on reducing the sword collection as time permits.

Very nice gun collection. Last summer, I took a trip out to the Rock Island Arsenal to see their firearms museum. I think you would enjoy it if you have never been before. We went for the 4th of July weekend and watched the fireworks from the banks of the Mississippi on post. Really cool experience and an exceptional collection of revolvers from every era. Will probably make the trip again, this year, for the 4th.

Sounds like a great trip. That place has been around a long time and making military stuff since the 1880s.
