Nice dude, congrats on finishing your collections, what's the final lundemo gonna be? A plain pommel, straight guard, 8-inch grip and 37 inch XIIIa blade. This will be to replace a sword I sold to a forum member last year. The sword I sold had been in my collection a long time and predated the later Longship era.

Had a cross etched on both sides of the pommel. Only thing I did not like was the extra long peen block John put on it. Looked cool but did not ask for it and always looked sort of strange......lol

Have been keeping my sword collection updated. Have some new but sold off some stuff to fund my firearms collection. Finally finished my firearms collection after being in locations I could not have them. Living overseas most of the time for 30-years prevented me from getting what I wanted. Most firearms are way cheaper than the upper tier of production swords with many being in the Windlass up to Del Tin range. Here is my final firearms collection sbg-sword-forum.forums.net/thread/54249/swiger-collectionOnly have a couple Albion (replacements) and a Lundemo on order. Collections are pretty much finished and will focus on reducing the sword collection as time permits. Hey Bill, you just upset a lot of sword makers.

Hey Dave, figure there are new sword folks to pick up the slack......lol After the hundreds of swords I have owned, the Windlass Fantasy Viking is still my favorite even though it comes up short compared to most other swords I have. I am not in a hurry to get the collection reduced as when I was selling to fund my firearms collection, most people only wanted the higher end and custom ones. Very little interest in the Windlass, Del Tin and similar price points unless you almost gave them away.

I hope you don't mind the question but you seem to be one of the few people that own the windlass runic long seax & the xiv & I am curious how they compare?
I own the xiv but I already own a Hanwei Banshee & a windlass charay Khyber knife with similar blade lengths to the seax so don't know if I can justify the purchase.

I have one of these Windlass Runic Lang Seaxes and absolutely love it, fwiw.

The seax is basically just a long single edged Viking knife. The other is a short double edged sword. The seax ends in a pretty fine point and I have others that are thicker in the point. If I had to pick between the two of them, would take the sword.
The seax would be very similar to the Khyber as both are long knives.

Thanks for the insights.
That has actually really helped me gain some clarity.
I love the look of the long seax & I don't have any Viking style weapons. But I think my current swords probably fill the niche.

Fantastic collection, I remember the thread of Lukas building that sword, one of my favorites! Yeah - modified the hilt on a Del Tin I gave as a donor. It is a big sword for sure......lol Met him the first time when he was still in High School (pre university). Met up quite a few times after that over the years. Really good guy. I came back to the States a few years ago after 21 years in Germany plus some other countries as well.

Yes, I thought it a pity that you went back to the States. We spend some good hours in your man's cave and I learned quite a bit. It really is an astonishing collection. I can only imagine your gun collection 😄 Merry Christmas and best wishes from Germany!
