My OP contains my three must haves, and I'm almost there. If I were to add another piece to the list though, it would have to be my first and most likely only custom sword. I'd commission a fully functional replica of Voltan's sword from Hawk The Slayer. Pictured below is the actual prop sword from the movie. The only changes I would have done to it would be adding fullers to the blade, a more rectangular grip & leather wrapped as well, & I'd have the hilt furniture done in bronze.

Nice sword Curtis! 8-) LG, believe it or not, I still haven't seen The Sword & The Sorcerer yet---but after watching that clip you posted, I HAVE to see it! I still absolutely LOVE old, cheesy sword & sorcery flicks, and that looks just perfect... Really? You haven't seen it yet? I think I pretty much saw all sword B-movies lol. My dad used to have a customer who used to own a video store(remember them) and he used to get all the si fi & fantasy movies.
Here the movie on youtube.....They have a lot of movies on youtube. I have been watching a lot of old apocalypse B-movies I haven't seen in a long time lol.

Rutger Hauer's two handed sword from Ladyhawk was awesome, but he barely used it in the movie...but it was cool. Having difficult posting the pic using iPad technology..pretty lame.

Wow, I've forgotten how many REALLY BAD sword movies have been made in our lifetime. Some good ones too but so far you guys have only brought up the bad ones, except for Conan. I do have the two Conan swords and the Braveheart sword which are the only movie swords I own and probably ever will.

S'cuse me...S'cuse me...Old guy comin' through. The first sword that EVER caught my eye was the big, clunky stage prop sword from the *original* Prince Valiant movie. Don't remember the year, but then again, I don't much remember yesterday. Step off, youngstas. Boo-yah. ....Chris

I'll just leave this here... I spent my whole life wanting this sword and finally got the chance to design it and work with Brendan Olszowy to create a real-world vision of what the Master Sword from The Legend of Zelda franchise could be... I have many swords I also want from film or fiction... but not many from childhood since I'm not a youngin'... but... Twinkle and Icingdeath - the swords of Drizzt Do'Urden which was a scrupulous dark elf in books by R.A. Salvatore. Anduril and Glamdring - I always wanted these... the LotR movies made these a reality... ever since Peter Lyon and the WETA workshop put these out, I have had the mastersmith collection of these two swords on my hitlist. Sadly when you DO find them for sale (which is almost never) they run for between $10-20k. That is a lot of moolah for steel...

As a child I had a hardback edition of the first years of the Prince Valiant comic strip and liked all the weapons there, the movie stuff I remember too. Conan, Highlander, Shogun, Musketeers... and Red Sonja (shivering)!

Prince Valiant's Singing Sword was the first that caught my eye... of course, I saw it when it ran in the Sunday paper in the 1950's... Yeah, I'm an old guy, too.

I guess in my own defense, I'll have to add: Almost any sword or weapon off of the good, ol' hard rock album covers...Iron Maiden, Ozzy, etc. All of those were kick-a**! See....I'm not THAT OLD! .....Chris

Twinkle and Icingdeath - the swords of Drizzt Do'Urden which was a scrupulous dark elf in books by R.A. Salvatore. More 'fantasy' scimitars as they were. This. I would absolutely go for a rainbow/moire shimmer of a lightly-blued Twinkle, and an Icingdeath worthy of a dragon's hoard. Yes, please.

I've always wanted a sword. Now I got one.
One day, I'll add my very own master sword. Until then, I'll have to settle with just a sword, which is more than I could ever dream of as a kid
