Yeah, my long sword loosens after a good cutting session. I'm thinking of epoxing the hilt assembley altogether so as to not worry about stripping the nut from repeated tightening. Then again I don't forsee needing to take it apart, others may have different plans for theirs.
The arming sword sounds nice also, I'll probably get one of those eventually.

My arming sword has been very tight so far, but I'll be getting some loctite as I'm sure it won't stay tight forever. Nice sword by the way, very impressed. The handle on mine travels and the pommel is loose hence the tang rattle. It is quite annoying and I do not have an expeditious remedy for it at this time. I am not willing to cut with it until I can fix this.

I'd try tightening the lock nut with a screwdriver, Bear. Use the right size screwdriver and caution to keep from stripping the nut as Mike suggested.
