Don't know if this has been mentioned here yet, but I just saw on facebook that Albion Europe is closing some time this year! Very sad news, I hope someone else starts selling them for us European collectors, there's still so many I need to buy!

That is bad news for our European brethren. Hopefully another means to purchase Albion's in Europe will come along soon. Also hoping like hell that this is not any sort of indication of Albion's financial stability. I love their stuff!

Soren's post over at myArmoury - www.myarmoury.com/talk/viewtopic.php?t=31367 - indicates that he wants to move on to something else. It doesn't seem like there's a problem with Albion USA. Somebody else will pick up the reins in Europe. Whoever that is, I hope that he is as good a photographer as Soren.

Would Soren really post that if there was an issue? I'm sure that there is someone waiting in the wings however, but it likely won't be that simple as just saying that they would like to take over the satellite webfront. I hope that they are able to make this transition however...

Albion Europe are a distributor for the swords made in the US, but they take their own photos etc..

I think EUR-USD rate might very well be one factor affecting his decision along with all other things. Exchange rate dropping from 1.4 to 1.2 within 6 months means a huge hit to your profits. And that is one thing you cannot change as it affects whole Euro area. I'm not good in guessing financial stuff but it might drop even more.
