I was able to reset my password and log in, but it only shows my info from the old-old forum. My username should be the same (I logged into the new-old forum to check), but doesn't show anything later than 2010. Can anyone help me?!

I've seen that with a couple guys. Once we start getting stuff worked out we'll try to get you guys logged into your newer accounts.

It seems we cannot edit the title of our own posts... How can I indicate "SOLD" on my items listed in the Classified?

But the most important question is : do the members without avatar know that they looks like the Coneheads?

Thanks for your help Adrian. In the Classifieds sbg-sword-forum.forums.net/thread/42781/I simply wanted to write SOLD instead of FS in the front of my title. I've managed to edit the main post itself. But as I already told, impossible to edit the title... Thanks again Adrian!

It seems we cannot edit the title of our own posts... How can I indicate "SOLD" on my items listed in the Classified? I noticed I had somehow managed to log in as separate accounts between my PC and my phone. I was typing something on my phone a little bit ago, and then switched over to the computer to make sure it looked okay when i noticed a typo in the post. I couldn't edit it, so I checked my activity under the Profile page and saw that I hadn't posted anything at all. Then I noticed the username I was viewing was "randomnobody1" which is not any username i have ever used, so I logged out and back in again, and now I am on the right account and can edit my own posts. Not sure if your problem is related... Edit: your post snuck in on me. I now wonder if it's tracking a "different user" as the original creator of the thread, rather than your current account. These switches are weird, they do crazy things...

Sorry. Can't do it yet.

@ Randomnobody : wow. Uber-weird, indeed... I'm connected to my account only via ONE machine - so, no different sessions for one user here. Definitely weird... @ Adrian : no problem Adrian, nothing important here. Thanks for trying!

Phew, the double account thing is causing some major headaches. I am working on trying to get it resolved, any changes I make at the admin level seem to only be effecting the older, redundant accounts - bear with me on this, I have reported it to forums-net and trying to get a forum wide solution.
As to any posts that are not here, we did two backups so anything not showing didn't make it I am afraid. About a days worth of posts are gone.
We will work through the issues promptly, sorry guys - we tested, checked but seem to have missed a few critical areas. Hopefully it will be smoothed out shortly. The emails should not be showing publicly, working on that too.
Apologies for the shoddy transition..

It's a big move and Murphy's Law is unforgiving. Getting a bit more used to things and lots of stuff to like.

Paul, I work for a professional website company (one of the top ten automotive industry website providers) and just migrating from one internal domain to another was more chaotic then this transition. You and your team have done a great job. Kudos to you, the techies, and all the mods who have helped with this. Now, how about getting some training equip in the SBG store? My club needs federschwerts.

Will the threads on the old forum be accessible for a while? In the Game of SWORD thread in Backyard Cutting, I added a link to the thread on the old forum so people who are playing the game can see what was posted on the seven pages of posts that didn't make it over. Do you know how long the old threads will be viewable on the old site? Edit: Make that 4 missing pages. I guess this new site displays more posts per page...

My password seems to have expired or changed. I tried the "Forgot Password" feature, but it apparently has an old email address in my profile that I don't have anymore. Any suggestions? Hey Mike,
Send me a quick email with your current email address and I will update it for you so the password gets send to a current email address.
Thanks for the support guys, and sorry but anything that did not make it is gone - I apologize for disrupting the game, but did post not to post anything important as some limited data loss was indeed going to happen, the trick was to make it as minimal as possible.
We will get there (that darned Murphy fellow)

Loving the option to go old proboards style!
Wondering if we can have page buttons at the bottom of each page - ort maybe I missed it - but it's no fun having to scroll up to go to the next page. Where do I find the subscribed threads page? I can get to bookmarked threads but not the ones I subscribed to...

Page buttons should follow the scrolling down, always at the top of the window. At least, mine do. Took some getting-used-to from the old bottom-right-corner to now look up-and-to-the-left, but they're there. Subscriptions, that's a question for somebody else. I never used that feature on the old forum, so I don't exactly miss it. I do think it's pretty neat that this one notifies you if, say, somebody quotes you in a given thread. Bookmarks is probably the closest to subscriptions this board can get, but I'll let somebody with more intimate knowledge correct me.

The default needs to be set to private ASAP. I had a special email address set up for this forum. The reason I even knew to come here and re-register was because I was getting a lot of new spam on that unique email address due to it being harvested in the public view. New members should be set to private / old members should be reset to private.

I should be able to update the game on this forum from the old one. All I should have to do is copy/paste the OP from the old board and edit the post here on the new one when the option is available.
Edit: It's nice to see you actually posting again, Paul. For being the creator of such a fine community, you sure aren't around much. Life gets in the way, sometimes.
