Hi Garrett, we discussed a han sword a little earlier this month, and just now after reading thet you have access to Zheng Wu's fittings I was wondering If you were going to make a Han Sword almost identical to Chris Zhou's. I have been searching for one with the same fittings as the Chris Zhou model, but for less $. For those of you who haven't seen the Chris Zhou opus Han Wu Sword or Jian. Here is a link www.arscives.com/mastersofire/exhibits.htm first one at the top.

Thanks for the interest guys. I was supposed to be up and running by now, but one of my prototypes got lost in transit. I will let you know when I can get stuff going again.
As of now, I can say that I will have a jian, dao, da dao, and probably one more model that I haven't decided on yet. I also do custom orders so if you want something else (ex: Han jian) or a higher end blade on the standard offered fittings I can do that.
I know this is taking a while, but please bear with me.

OK. Well hopefully people haven't gotten fed up with my talking/waiting and just forgotten about me. Here's the deal as of right now.
Turns out prices for materials and labour have increased much more than anticipated. So what I'll have to do is make the stuff a bit more utilitarian.
Most of that has to do with the fittings. You probably won't see the intricate stuff I posted earlier in the thread (unless you're willing to pay extra). Instead I'll just have simple largely unadorned brass. Even then my margins are lower than before :S.
Again I apologize that this is taking 1,000 years. Talk to you guys again soon.

Yeah I feel your pain. I make jewelry and gold cost SOOOOO much now. Fitting I use to pay 30 bucks for now I pay 50 for. Silver mounts use to be give aways (like less then a buck)...but not so much anymore.

Sorry for you Americans but for me it's a good thing since the dollar is so low, so let the tank sink a bit more ;D.

It'll get worse, it will get better, it'll get worse again. So is the way of the world... As far as the swords go, I would rather have a good blade with plain fittings for a affordable price any day...

It's both that's giving a double barrel effect. see an article from one year ago. It's much worse now. www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,1670255,00.html
