If an ATrim Leafie like the old MS2103 shows up at KOA, I'll buy it in a second. (I already have the shorter 2104) Attachments:

The way that a lot of these work is that Gus makes a couple to a handful. Sometimes that same model gets changed up, and only one or two are released that way. Gus apparently calls them "boutique" rather than full on custom, so I guess you could call them semi-custom.
I am glad to see them showing up, and glad to see the price on them is where it SHOULD be. My wallet isn't happy, but the price is where the market is for swords of that caliber.

Gus have hundreds of files on his computer that are the CNC programs for his swords so yes, he can recreate one any time so long as he has not deleted the file (I don't think he deleted very many at all) so in that regard they could be considered production, but a lot of the character of his newer models really comes out when he grinds them. also, Gus will tweak and modify his programs to get the sword just where he wants it so just because you have a 1557 from 5 years ago does not mean it will be identical to one made today. Also Gus tends to make the swords that tickle his fancy when he is not locked into filling orders. once T&TA back log is finished Gus will be 99% clear of owing swords to people from ages ago. there may still be a few folks he lost track of after having his strokes, but once his known backlog is filled the few that pop up should be easily dealt with. there are more than a couple of old pre-stroke swords on my list. BTW I'm not currently handling any new sword requests even from old pre-stroke, Pay off the Machine Sale days. at least not yet. I may handle them in the future to help Gus get them cleared out but for right now I'm trying to get my list cleared. if you are owed a sword from Gus from before 2011 you may let me know and I'll mention you to Gus but that's as far as I go right now. when my list is cleared (probably early next year) I will probably be happy to help you.
Gus's offerings are all going to be high-quality from here on out, this is absolutely where his swords belong and they are going to fit this area better and better as time goes on.

Well just wanted to let everyone know that this Atrim just found a new home with a very excited newcomer to this exciting but quite expensive "addiction" whoops I meant hobby haha. Any way I just ordered it tonight so it probably won't arrive until around next Friday the 11th if I'm lucky. It will be my first Atrim so far. And as the only swords I own so far are several DSA that I really like. And unlike many I have read about I haven't a single problem with any of the four I own. And have just received today my new Valiant Armory Malatesta. I also have an VA castille that I acquired for a great price on Ebay. And I am Also' waiting for Sonny to ship out my Templer and my crusader. So although quite new to this. I am off to a good start. In haven't done any reviews yet as I have neither a camera or video recorder other than my phone which will not suffice. By hopefully in the near future although I would rather buy swords than cameras haha.

good start indeed. the ATrim will be quite different than the DSA swords you have. it won't be as raw fast as the malatesta but it will move better in subtle ways that you may or may not pick up on at first. A lot of what makes Gus' swords so wonderful are all the subtle notes to the handling. the more you handle it the more you will realize is going on with it. that's part of the magic of ATrims.
hope you love it, you're getting a good one for sure.

Well a funny thing happened on the way to the forum. When I made the purchase of that Atrim from KOA it indicated that the sword was available and that my purchase was successful. However yesterday I received an email indicating that they had oversold that sword and iI was in fact not the purchaser and that it ha sold only moments prior . Bad news I was crushed after all I had read about them being so hard to find and that there availability may be the limited in the future I thought I had hit the sword lotto . then defeat! Good news they just happened to receive anothe New Atrim and low and behold like it even better. It is a XVIIIb.2 with no riccasso. A wider blade and a much nicer cross, and black grip. Wasn't hat fond of the red anyway. And I got first purchase rights since I had already payedbfor he other one. Hallelujahsword miracle, I'm getting my first Atrim and I like it. "And I feel Better". Now I just have to wait for its arrival. No kid on Christmas was ever more excited. I will defiantly want to try a review upon its arrival. More to come then.

I agree NO pictures no proof and since I only use my phone for internet I don't know how to post a link to the page it is on, and since its not in my possesion as of now. I will have faith that KOA is going do as they say and sell it to me first. Then I will post pictures upon its arrival. In fact I am going to look into expedited shipping if they will. I have little patience when it comes to waiting for Christmas morning to arrive. They already have my payment so I don't foresee any issues, and I have never had any problems with KOA , in fact they have been exemplary in all my dealings other than this time. And this time only that the in stock listing was still up for this item and I although initially dissapointed, understand that that was unintentional. And in this case worked in my favor I believe and will more so when my Atrim gets here. Updates to follow.

I know, I know no pictures still no proof however after just speaking with Dan Easter at KOA only moment ago my first Atrim XVIIIb AT002 is on the UPS truck as we speak and is in fact on its way to my house now. Since this is the only place to share my excitement over his purchase I'm letting you all know about it. And yes I will be posting photos upon its arrival. And once again I have to give kudos to Dan and everyone at KOA for going above and beyond to help me get this sword. They have always gone the extra mile for me.

I can not find the XVIIIb on the KoA site anywhere. No Angus Trim items at all except for some knives. Did they sell out of this one already too?

The Atrim that was listed sold out. It was only one item for sale. And the second one was never actually posted to the public as it was offered to me first as I had payed for the first one after it had already been sold, I tryed to purchase it only moments after the first buyer and before it could be pulled from availability. As the second one was in fact one I liked even more than the first one so I jumped on it emmediatly so it never actually made it to the public webite. But according to Dan who I spoke to in person on the phone with today in the process of determining shipping costs. Which in this case if anyone's interested cost Approx $15.00 and will arrive Friday the 11th on UPS ground or could have taken the option of two day for I believe it was just shy of $100 and it still would not have arrived until Thursday any way. But back to Dan. He said that they are going to be the only location for new Atrims from here forward and they will offer them as they arrive at KOA and they will sell as is no customization from Angus. Although we did not speak of any custom options that KOA may provide. But as far as Gus goes he will make what he wants, when and the way he wants. And KOA will then sell them from there. And as I said this came directly from Dan Easter. At KOA.

They will be the primary place, but I'm sure a few ATrims will sneak out to other sellers from time to time. KOA will definitely be the best place to watch if you want to pick up a new one.

Apologies if I miss worded what I said in regards to KOA being the only location for new Atrims. I would very much defer to Tom K as to authority on all things Atrim. And I did not mean it to be a direct quote from Dan. I don't recall word for word but I'm sure that as Tom K stated it was that KOA would be the primary location for new Atrims.
