I really like the look of this, what are the rough stats and is there a photo of pommel / tang?

The tsuka is approx. 9" and the blade is approx. 19".

I'm not really sure yet. It's still a design in progress, but hopefully soon. But I could always make a one-off.

Nice I like it! What's the price? Just a question, what are those dots we can see on the blade? Are they part of the hamon? Attachments:

I still think there should be a secondary bevel, this in my opinion would be more "tactical" because then an idiot could resharpen it in field without too much fuss. Other than that it's awesome, everything I wanted the hisshou to be.

Just going to say, "an idiot" can accusharp-or-whatever in their own secondary bevel if they must. I'd personally prefer the blade without. Seeing as it's easier to install a secondary bevel than to remove one, I say sell them without.
That aside, this actually looks pretty cool. I'm starting to like it more than I thought I would.

Right. A secondary bevel would basically turn a "tactical" katana into every other big knife or sword out there. The tactical concept I have in my mind is less of a survival or combat tool as it is a finely tuned covert defensive tool. The slicing power of a traditional grind is part of that concept.
Plus, it's still very easy to re-hone an edge with wet/dry paper on a rubber sanding block.

Really agree there.

As he said. A secondary bevel on a katana is just plain wrong...

Have you considered some traditional blade shape tanto folders?

And just a question, why a turks head knot over a regular fuchi?

Also this pommel shape is just beautiful.

I'm not answering for Slav but a fuchi is a collar for the wood tsuka shitaji, it helps strengthen the core around the nakago. There is no core on this model thus nothing to reinforce so it would just be decorative and would need to be custom made to be a lot thinner.
From what I can see at least
