From what I remember, they never had that option for the D'Cap, and they still don't. They used to for a few of their older models. but I didn't see any thing like that in their shop.

Actually, most blades weigh a good deal less than a rifle, and you don't need to carry ammo for them. They're far less vulnerable to rough treatment, cannot jam or misfire, and don't need to be sighted in every now and then (which also eats up ammo). Plus you can do chores with them. Of course I'd still like a rifle - some rugged hunting weapon in some common caliber, or the RK 62 I used in the army (they're built like freaking tanks) - but in addition to, not instead of, a good handy blade. And speaking of a good, handy blade!

I see your "world of firearms" post, rest assured between me and my dad, we have enough firearms and ammo to make it to our bugout. I was just thinking that something longer than my 5 inch fixed blade edc would be nice to have if I ever got into one of "those" situations in SHTF. But in the meantime can chop up watermelons, and can take camping with me.

They DEFINITELY used to have that for the D-Cap... because I was going to get it if I ordered it. The whole site is different now tho.

I like the ZT stuff very much. I have the Zakasushi and in my view this is the way a 21st century sword should be. My ZT blade is one of my favorite swords and would be the only one that would be carried by me in any apocalyptic szenario, no matter how useless a sword in that situation would be...hahaha. The etching is candy for my eyes and points out the darkness that lives in shiny metal. And shiny metal the blade will be if it gets using. And if it's just moving in, moving out the sheath. Or rust that has to be polished away. So happened on my steel. Without any effort a polishing rubber kills the etching. Doesn't look as fancy as before, but these tools are made for working, right? "With the glimmer of metal my moment is ready to strike" - to have a little bit IRON MAIDEN in the affair...hahaha. I'd certainly buy more ZT stuff some day.
