Imagine the Mack Daddy-O in single hand form... The Rat Bastard looks like one heck of a chopper...I was on a buying hiatus, after the orders I placed a few weeks ago; but I was helpless when I saw it. 20 inches overall, with a 13 "blade. At 36 oz, it isn't heavy by sword standards; but I'm guessing this is gonna leave a mark. 6 week wait - now to figure out what I want to sell to ease its arrival (nothing, lol, but I probably should anyway) I'll fix the pictures when I get home in the morning Attachments:

I wonder if the guys over at ZT have long distance telepathy... When I first saw the Reaver Cleaver, I was thinking how much I'd want one if it were a single hander and now they've got one. I gotta say, it looks pretty sweet.

I understand, and somewhat agree with, the arguments about having 3 different sizes of the same blade; but if the design is working for them, I can understand them running with it. They make their products as they are ordered, so if the demand is low, they'll can it and move on...it isn't as if they'll get stuck with a thousand of them if the idea doesn't pan out. I looked at it again this morning, and my response was along the lines of it's sort of an ugly SOB (but I still think it would leave a mark). I wouldn't be too surprised if I wavered back and forth between loving it, and not, during the next 6 weeks. I purchased this intending to use it; and I'm not so much of a hoarder that I would feel compelled to keep it if I don't like it once I have it in hand. If I'm not happy when I take it out of the box, I'll simply take pictures & post it up. As far as the weight - I have sort of been focused on choppers recently. As far as I'm concerned, 2 lbs 4 oz is an acceptable - almost desireable - weight for what this piece is intended to do. If, due to execution, it doesn't perform well, that's a different story. 36 oz is a decent weight for a single hand sword, as well...the difference is that this, by design, isn't intended to be as nimble. FWIW, it is lighter than either of the MBB blades shown in my signature.
