Looking awesome Chris. It's been a while since I've had a Barret blade in hands but it looks likes he's made huge jumps in his quality. He still uses 1075 as a primary steel?

Long time no see Chris... which is silly considering you live only 20 miles away. ;-) The Hamon on that sword looks amazing... great job from both you and Rick.

Thanks guys! Think I'll probably start posting more pics of projects like I did years ago. Back then it seemed like a lot of craftsmen were posting their work on the forums and it seemed to always keep things fresh and the inspiration going. As for the blade, Rick has been making swords of this quality for at least 10 years or better.

He has mostly preferred 1075 for mono-steel blades and for folded blades either his own home made steel, tamahagane from Japan, or a mixture of the two.
