Sure you're not going "Berserk" on this one?
Should be a scary thing when finished, I'll be watching this thread.

I bet you put a lot of work into that blade. It looks very impressive. Would you change anything about this blade?

Twas a good show, the manga is far better. Shame it goes on hiatus so often. I read LastGodslayer's post and instantly thought "he'd make it not naked" as the only improvement; good to see we agree on that.

I wish they would have continued the anime after the eclipse, i been following the new movies and whilke they are decent, they skip soooo much content and im not a fan of the new CGI semprini.

Who'd ever imagine Guts riding Zodd? If you are fans, I strongly encourage you to play the PS2 game. Despite being repetitive, the boss battles are awesome and it accurately represents Guts as the powerhouse he is whilst keeping his ability to exploit battle circumstances. Anyways, this sword has promise.

You should definitely do a cutting video with this one when you have finished making it. Perhaps one like the video you made with the deer. Except this time you need a moose instead.

I'm really excited to see what the blade is capable of, I've never seen anyone do a cutting video with a two handed fantasy Viking. I can imagine that the PoB together with the broad blade can do some serious damage. Are you going for type H fittings, like on the Albion squire line Viking sword?

gonna do my own interpretation of viking style for the fittings. it should be unique. and i estimate that when finished this massive blade would cut a man in half. ive seen alot less substantial cold steel swords cut through 2 and 3 pig carcasses with 1 swing.

Update: got 2 of the 4 edge bevels set, (not the primary bevels) just setting the edge thickness. It took 50 passes with the angle grinder on each flat to get the edge thickness where i want it in preparation for heat treat....next episode...Primary bevels! I took pics of the blade next to my conan atlantean sword to give a better representation of this things actual size.
