I dunno, I still think it can be made. Maybe not for cutting, but more of a 'swing-but-won't-break' thing.

No it still has the spikes
edit: Okay I take it back, DMC4 rebellion has just one spike. Checked out the cut scene at the start.

Well you don't need a functional sword for that...just one with a decent hilt assembly.
Oh and to make it functional...change the handle to wood...get rid of spikes and make the blade less wide. It'll look like rebellionish...but a sword you can actually use.

The rebellion doesn't have that much wide blade, I always thought it looked like a diamond in cross section.

It's a diamond in one version I remember. It looks like a diamond in the anime but lenticular in the other versions. And that blade is too wide for a practical weapons application. Like I said if you just want to swing it around, you just need a good hilt assembly.

Yeah, I know. But I would like a strong, thick blade like the real sword, wouldn'ta say?

Actually that wall hanger has a pretty thick blade...and a piss poor tang. Since I'm not gonna be swing the sucker around or cut anything, I want the best looking option. That sadly does not mess with a functional blade. I'm gonna be looking at the blade and that is all ofer all.

Nah, I can't stand just staring at the blade. I prefer to save my staring ability for cute girls And anyhow, you think a wooden rebellion could do the trick?

Yeah, I know. But I would like a strong, thick blade like the real sword, wouldn'ta say? In DMC 3 it looked like it was an inch thick. In DMC 4 it looks a lot thinner.

Haven't played 4 yet, but in 3 it looks pretty darn thick. It's one hell of a sword, and I think I'll try my best bringing it 'to life'.Someday.:S

Given the choice between just staring at sword or just staring at girls...I'll take staring at swords thank you ver much ;D .
If they can get a wooden rebellion to look just like the one in the game, I'll buy that, no problem.

You see whats gotta happen, right? Someone has to forge a rebellion! And I would love a Yamato, the funny thing is, I practiced a lot of moves that vergil uses in the game, I can now perform all of them flawlessly, lol.
The special edition allows you to play as vergil, w00!
But yeah, a rebellion, full sized and everything, would be too heavy, and the balance would be difficult to get on such a huge sword...

I don't know, vergil is a demon, or half at least. His moves can be super natural! W00! lol, I am in an odd mood today. ;D

Mogur, since I live in Israel and we don't use sizes like lbs, inches and such, maybe I misunderstood. 8 lbs are about 3-4 kilos, right?

yes 8 lbs is about 3.5 kilo. 8 inches would be about 20 cm.
